About Us

Solarize Greater Philadelphia is a program administered by the Philadelphia Energy Authority (PEA) and its green bank affiliate, the Philadelphia Green Capital Corp (PGCC).

PEA is an independent municipal authority established in 2010 to leverage clean energy to address the climate crisis, create local jobs, attract global businesses, drive economic development, and improve quality of life for Philadelphia residents.

PGCC connects projects to capital (public, private and philanthropic) to drive a robust, equitable clean energy market in the Greater Philadelphia region, support the Philadelphia Energy Authority, and respond to the local challenges of climate change.

In 2016, PEA launched its first major initiative, the Philadelphia Energy Campaign to invest $1 billion in energy efficiency and clean energy projects in the city over 10 years and create 10,000 living wage jobs in the process. Through 2024, PEA has supported $993 million in clean energy projects and created over 8,000 jobs.
