Solarize Greater Philadelphia is partnering with the Pennsylvania Solar Center to bring its G.E.T. Solar initiative to Southeast Pennsylvania. The Pennsylvania Solar Center is a nonprofit organization that works to spread the benefits of solar to all Pennsylvanians.
G.E.T. Solar offers free technical assistance and financial guidance to assess your facility’s solar potential. Eligible entities must be located in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery or Philadelphia counties.
Expert staff use trusted tools and resources to guide businesses, nonprofits, schools, municipalities, and faith communities throughout the solar installation process. Past participants have successfully layered local, state, federal and utility incentives to significantly lower their upfront costs and maximize the financial benefit of going solar.

G.E.T. Solar Four-Step Process
Basic Solar Feasibility
The G.E.T. Solar initiative provides participants with a high-level solar photovoltaic (PV) design and feasibility analysis. We gauge each facility’s suitability for installing solar, estimate electricity generation potential, and forecast project costs and financial benefits. The initiative includes an analysis of potential financing strategies, reviewing available rebates, tax credits, grants, and loans. After completing the pre-qualification survey, all that’s needed is a recent copy of your facility’s electricity bill.
Request for Proposals (RFPs)
Our team will work with you to request proposals from vetted, regional solar developers using an unbiased, competitive bidding process. Our team engages directly with solar developers to organize site visits and to streamline the collection of proposals on your behalf.
Review and Compare Proposals
Our team helps throughout the proposal review process, providing technical support to assist participants in reaching the best decision for your organization, all without influencing the ultimate selection. Proposals are compared apples-to-apples, simplifying the selection process.
Financing and Implementation Support
The G.E.T. Solar initiative will work with you to provide a comprehensive financing strategy, assisting your organization in identifying grants and funding opportunities. Our team can offer connections to lending organizations and funding partners who are experienced in solar financing.
