What to Know About the Expiring Residential Solar Clean Energy Credit 

The federal tax credit currently provides a 30-percent tax credit for owners of a residential solar photovoltaic (PV) system. This credit was originally scheduled to begin phasing down in 2033, but is now set to expire at the end of this year.
